Big girl

My oldest daughter, nearly 4 and a half has been talking about her future husband lately. She draws him in pictures along with she, me, and her daddy. She says she doesn't know who he is yet, but she will soon. I told her maybe when shes about 30, she replies, "38" I said that would be even better....lol. While watching tv one afternoon she told me she can't wait to cook for him. When I asked what she would make, she said, "bananas, cheese, eggs, and more bananas." Then she asked me what that makes? I said, "Sounds like some sort of casserole to me." "Ya, it is." she replied. I told her that I sure hope she cooks a lot better for her husband than I do. With all the innocence in the world she said, "oh, I will!"

Tiny girl

My smallest daughter, nearly 11 months old now...has quite the personality. She loves shaking her head no...she shakes and shakes and shakes...and stops only to make sure we are watching, then smiles and goes right back to it. She is also walking all over the place. She still falls and will end up crawling but is very happy to make it where she intended to. One of my favorite new things she is doing is mimiking our words. She says bye bye, baby, doggie, maggie, mama, dada, and hi! I'm one proud mommy, wouldn't change one thing. Although, I feel both of my babies are growing entirely too fast, I enjoy watching the new things they are learning to do! Enjoy them mommies! It's times like these, you can't get back!

Creative me!

For Christmas this year, I have decided to take on a few projects! I'm working on aprons for my sister-in-laws. Tie t-shirts for my nephews, and the little boy I babysit for. Lap trays for them as well. But my favorite task of all is, the skirt purse. I am hoping to make three colts ones for friends and family. I just completed my first one. It is far from perfect, but I have the right idea. I just need to work on straighter lines! I have many projects to complete before Christmas, but at least I'm starting early right? I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how to of a few of the other things I've finished recently! That's all for now. Had to share that I completed something!

Losing my mind...

So, I am currently babysitting at a friends home. Yesterday, while gathering my two girls belongings to head home for the day, we can't find my oldest daughters "blankie" anywhere. She has had this since birth. It goes everywhere we go. She sleeps with it, eats with it, it is pretty much always with her. I get my littlest ready to go, and then help my oldest start searching. The search goes on for probably 10-15 minutes. We look upstairs, downstairs, around toys, under toys, in toys..it is no where to be found. By this point, I'm getting angry. I had places to be and things to do and could not spend another second searching when.....my boss says, "are you looking for her blanket?" I said that I was...she replies, "It was in Lily's diaper bag." I had put it in there while packing everything up, as not to forget this precious blanket, and had forgotten. All that anger, and it was my fault..what is wrong with me?

After this terribly embarrassing moment, I needed to head to Payless to exchange some shoes for my baby girl. We get there, set the shoes on the counter to go find some new ones. 3 pairs of shoes later and two sets of socks, we were finally ready to go. I tell the cashier the receipt is in the shoe box. She opens the lid and pulls a receipt out, and says, "well, this is for McDonalds" I felt like a complete idiot. Who does that? Who sticks the wrong, way wrong, receipt in the box? Wow. What a day! I am losing it, and I definetely do NOT want to live like this for 100 more years..lol!

Getting to know me...

This is my 1st blog EVER! So here are a few things to help you get to know me. I just celebrated my 26th birthday one week ago! I am married to my best friend, and we will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary in a little over a month. I have two little girls, who are my absolute world. One is 4, and the other is 10 months. These little girls make my life filled with joy, and at times stress. I love watching them learn to do things for the first time. How proud they are of themselves, or mad that they didn't get it right on the first attempt.

They both are quite stubborn, unfortunetely a trait they inherited from both mommy and daddy. They do not give up very easily. Our 10 month old is trying very very hard to walk. She has ended up by our television and dvd player numerous times. We tell her, "no" and move her to a different location. Apparently, she has watched us shake our heads no at her so many times, that she now is mimiking that as well. She spent most of yesterday randomly shaking her head "no" and then laughing about it!

Both our girls have quite a personality. They hear the slightest sound of music and they both start dancing away! Our oldest acts a lot like mommy, and gets a tad lippy from time to time, but is also like daddy..her facial expressions and love of video games..most DEFINETELY come from him! Baby girl looks very much like mommy, but her personality is like mommy and daddy. They are very good mixtures of us, which keeps our life very fun, and very interesting. You never know what you are going to get with these two. They are precious girls, who I am blessed to have call me "mommy." It makes my day, makes me smile, and makes me want to live like this...for 100 more years!
